“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” ~Matthew 18:20
Parents are the first educators in their child’s faith. Children are not only formed in the religious education programs but foremost in the homes by their families. This is why parents are encouraged to play an active role in this retreat. As a time of grace for both the child and the parent, catechesis preparation is a beautiful journey of unquenchable personal love.
This retreat offers parents a chance to experience the fullness of their faith in the sacraments and develop community with other parents in a Christ-like setting. Sacraments are powers that come forth from the Body of Christ to heal the wounds of sin and give us new life in Christ. Jesus continually calls us to conversion and His call should resonate in our lives as we grow in holiness.
September 9, 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM
September 10, 9:00 AM to 6:15 PM and includes Holy Mass
We are limiting the retreat to 100 parishioners. The retreat will be conducted by Deacon Ralph Poyo and will be a first come, first serve sign-up basis. Please don’t wait to register. After the first 100 parishioners sign up, we will create a wait list for cancellations.
For parishioners who want to serve at the retreat and hear Deacon Poyo’s teachings, please register to SERVE. We will need several lay-parishioners to facilitate throughout the day.
It's important that we know who and how many will be attending the parent retreat. This will help us determine childcare needs and food preparation. Please provide applicable information to aid in planning of the retreat.
