Liturgical Ministry 

The St. Jerome Liturgical Committee is led by a lay minister (Liturgical Coordinator) appointed by the Pastor who works closely with him in overseeing the liturgical and worship needs of the parish in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the Catholic Church and the Diocese of Austin. The Liturgical Coordinator is the central link between the Pastor and the leaders of the Worship Life Ministries who support th eMass and other worship events. Together with the Pastor, the Liturgical Coordinator meets with the leaders to focus on communicating and executing the guidelines. The Liturgical Coordinator keeps the leaders of the Worship Life Ministries up to date on current needs and assures that they communicate the necessary info to members of their liturgical and worship groups.

 The Worship Coordinator presides over the Liturgical Committee under the guidance of the Pastor, as he is the chief governing person and accountable to the Bishop. The Pastor serves as the final arbiter on all issues regarding the liturgy and worship. The Worship Coordinator and members of the Liturgical Committee serve at the will of the Pastor. The Liturgical Committee meets quarterly or as necessary and is avaialble to the Pastor on an as needed basis.
