Our younger children are welcome to join us for Children's Liturgy of the Word. The children gather at the altar as the Liturgy of the Word begins, and are led in procession to Brooks Hall to listen to the readings presented in simplified language. The readings are then discussed in word and song, and the children rejoin the Mass as the Offertory song is played.
As parents discern this option for their children, please take advantage of this wonderful article, which articulates the goal of Children's Liturgy of the Word in more detail.
Pre-registration is not required for this ministry, but we request that one parent from each family join the children about once a month, so that we have ample adult helpers.
*Though Little Lions Liturgy is available to serve your children, it is our desire that Parents, the first teachers of faith, make the decision about where they would like their children to hear the Liturgy of the Word. ALL children are joyfully welcomed in the main Church for all parts of the Mass. Perfect behavior is not required or expected. We are blessed to be amongst your children!
FAQ: What ages of children can attend??? As parents are the primary teachers of faith for their children, we defer to the judgement of parents.
