Clerical Endowment Fund

History of CEF

The Clerical Endowment Fund (CEF) in the Austin Diocesan Council of Catholic Women was established in 1948 and is one of the special projects of the Austin Diocese Council of Catholic Women (DCCW). The monies that go into this fund come from enrollments, bequests from Estates, special donations and an annual drive in each parish of the Austin Diocese. For more information CLICK HERE.

CEF Enrollments

The CEF enrollments are available all year and make great gifts. They can be given for Birthdays, Weddings, Anniversaries, Baptisms, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Get Well, Thank You, Memorial Day, the loss of a loved one, or for any other occasion. Personalized Spiritual Bouquet Cards are available to parishioners for purchase with the following suggested donations for the enrollments:

• Regular Individual Enrollment (card) = $2.00
• Special Individual Enrollment (card) = $5.00
• Perpetual Enrollment (folder)
  • $25.00 Individual
  • $50.00 Family (includes children living in the home)
  • $100.00 Group

Benefits of the Spiritual Bouquet

1. The holy sacrifice of the mass offered each month by Joe S. Vasques, Bishop of Austin, for the living and deceased persons enrolled and their benefactors.
2. The holy sacrifice of the mass offered each month by the Director, Father Edward Karasek, for the living and deceased persons enrolled.
3. A remembrance of those enrolled and their benefactors by the clerical students of the Diocese in their spiritual exercises.
4. Daily remembrance of all enrolled persons and their benefactors by the Carmelite Nuns of the Ancient Observance Monastery of Our Lady of Grace of Christoval, Texas in their prayers, Masses and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

Use of the Funds Collected

Your donations help educate seminarians in the Austin Diocese and they provide loans to diocesan parishes for building programs.
